Hollman Internship Program
In 2014, Hollman Media was the winner of the prestigious Walter Scott Entrepreneurial Business Award. In the spirit of the award, we decided to give the money back to the University of Nebraska, specifically, the Kearney Campus.
That money, along with additional support from UNK led to the development of the Hollman Internship Program (HIP).
HIP is a competitive program that solicits short project proposals and applications from both students and faculty at UNK. The idea is to take original research and original ideas from campus and align them with a highly-motivated student intern who will turn those concepts into viable digital technology, such as a mobile app or a website.
HIP Interns are paid interns who work at our facilities under the mentorship of experienced Hollman Media developers, but they remain employees of the University during that time. The program is therefore jointly administered by Hollman Media and the University of Nebraska at Kearney through a representative steering committee.
Currently, only one student and one project proposal is active at a time. After its completion, solicitations are again sent to faculty and students on campus seeking new project proposals and internship applications. Projects may last a semester or more.
If you are interested in participating in this program, contact us for information regarding the next round of solicitations.
